The State of Washington provides some of the most beautiful natural landscapes in the country, as well as many natural resources and waterways. At McGavick Graves, P.S. in Tacoma, we work extensively on behalf of companies and business interests in remediation work, reversing the effect of industry on the land and natural resources.

In 1980, the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA) was passed. This oversees the cleanup of some of our nation’s most contaminated sites. When a site has been so neglected or contaminated that it threatens the environment around it and other landowners, this act requires that those companies clean up the area.
Our attorneys routinely represent interests from all sides of these issues. For companies or individuals who are being asked to clean up an area, we deal with the government and other parties directly on behalf of our client. Our representation also covers TSCA, tank acts, RCRA and Brownfields Programs.
