Brent J. Hyer

Associate Attorney

Mr. Hyer started his career at a small boutique civil firm in Seattle specializing in civil litigation and electronic discovery.  Wanting more trial experience, he moved to criminal law, first as an assistant city attorney for the City of Tacoma and then as a deputy prosecuting attorney for Pierce County.  While at Pierce County for almost fifteen years, he handled complex criminal prosecutions, including white-collar crime, property crimes and homicides.  Mr. Hyer was the supervisor of the Misdemeanor Traffic Division and the head of the Fugitive Unit.  He also spent time handling juvenile cases, civil cases, and appeals, where he argued in front of the Washington Supreme Court.  Mr. Hyer joined McGavick Graves to return to civil litigation where he handles all types of civil and commercial litigation.
